SCHEDULE OF WATER FEES AND CHARGES EFFECTIVE – JULY 1, 2009

WATER RATES

Water Use Charge per 1,000 Gallons

January – March $12.50

April – June $19.00

July – September $25.00

October – December $12.50

RI Water Resource Board $0.0292 per 100 gallons
RI sales tax on commercial account only: 7%

 
Over Usage Penalty Charge July – September only, $55.00 / 1,000 gallons over account allocation.
Water Allocation $8.73 per gallon per day, paid in advance.Updated each year in October
Sprinkler Service $1,150 per annum
Fire Flow Test $50.00 per occurrence, must receive Permit from Water Superintendent.
Hydrants $460.00 per annual


Standby Service based on previous year’s 3rd Quarter gallonage usage:
100,000 – 125,000 gallons $460.00 per quarter
126,000 – 475,000 gallons $690.00 per quarter
476,000 gallons and greater $920.00 per quarter

Accounts are payable by the end of the month in which the bill is received.
Interest – 18% per annum, charged 1.5% monthly on accounts unpaid by end of month.

 

OTHER WATER CHARGES  
Seasonal meter $50.00 per on site visit, turn on/off service and install/remove meter
Meter Testing/Reading $35.00 per on site visit
Frozen Meter $50.00 per event plus cost of meter and parts.
New Account  $35.00 per connection plus cost of parts; we supervise installation.
Permit Fee  $35.00
Inspection Fee $35.00 per connection per visit.
Tapping fees (Water) 1” :  $400  plus materials   2”  : $600 plus materials

Engineering Plan Review
                                       $100 single dwelling-property
                                       $300 minor subdivision:  2-5 dwelling per property

                                       $500 major subdivision:  5-10 dwelling per property
                                       Other projects: price determined by engineer’s quotation

Over Usage Penalty Charge: July – September only, $17.00 / 1,000 gallons over account allocation.
Sewer Allocation $4.12 per gallon per day, paid in advance. Updated each year in October
Install/Remove meter $35.00 per occurrence.
Septage/Boat Pump-outs $65.00 per 1,000 gallons
Subtraction Meter Rental $300.00 annual payable in June.

Accounts are payable by the end of the month in which the bill is received.
Interest – 16% per annum, charged 1.33% monthly on accounts unpaid by end of month.
